We hit some winners and losers yesterday in the betting world. You can say that things haven’t been perfect. However, we are way above 50% and we’ll continue to find some solid action. Remember, when betting on sports you are looking to keep the long term average up.
We were thinking closeout games yesterday and it just seems like the baseball gods wanted the series to continue. The major thing we got right yesterday was the over on both games. We knew the hits were coming. Both baseball games combined for 20 runs. This was actually broken down to 10 each.
The Anaheim Ducks took care of business while the Washington Capitals did not. We also had a push in our MLS game last night. The Galaxy covered the -220 moneyline, but they pushed the -1 point spread, by scoring the lone goal.
Tonight we have one baseball game and one NFL game and we’ll also maybe through in some other action.
With the series even between the Red Sox and Tigers you have to figure out who is in the right place to pull out a tough win. Detroit has grinded all year, but the depth of the Red Sox should play a role tonight. We think this game not only goes over 7 runs, but the Red Sox pull this one off and take the 3-2 lead. Take the Sox at +105.
NFL week 7 kicks off tonight when the Seattle Seahawks roll into Arizona for an NFC west battle. Both teams are playing pretty well, but we think the defense of Seattle brings Arizona to their knees. We like points at home, but Seattle is by far the better team. We are taking the Hawks on the road at -7. You can also think about a tease bet. Take Seattle -1 and the over 35. This would be our bet of the day. Consider a defensive TD prop bet in this game as well. You can learn more about prop bets right here.
We do have one hockey play we like tonight. This is between the Pittsburgh Penguins visiting the Philadelphia Flyers. We think you can take the moneyline bet of -165 on the Penguins or even the spread of -1.5 (+175). Either way you should be able to pull out a win.
This pretty much covers our Thursday night action. Be on the look out for tomorrows picks, where we go over all the weekend bets. Have a good one.
