Thursday Night Football in September

We missed our bets yesterday and we’ll make up for it today. Before we get into today’s picks we first want to go over the picks from our Tuesday’s bets.

We won most of our bets on Tuesday including 2/3 baseball games and the one soccer game which turned out to be the best bet of the day.

Taking the US at home against Mexico played out perfectly. An early second half goal pretty much clinched the victory. Mexico had very few second half chances. The great thing about this is that the US is now in the World Cup which will be in Brazil next year. A long way away for those bets, but things look really good as of now. The +145 also made this bet feel good. Not sure how big you were going to go, but the momentum was there to risk more.

We get back to the gridiron tonight when the New York Jets visit the New England Patriots. The Jets are coming off a last second win against Tampa and the Patriots are coming off a close call against the Bills. Where does it go from here? How about the Patriots being a 13 point favorite. Almost a two touchdown favorite is pretty wild in the NFL. Each team doesn’t look that great either. Well, we have to ride the home team and hope the Pats Defense is going to show up. One mistake by the Pats will most likely allow the Jets to cover.

With a lot of weapons sidelined tonight we hope some new stars are made on the Patriots. Again, this may come down to a defensive touchdown to cover, but we like the Patriots too much to bet against them. Our last bet backfired, but this one looks a lot better on paper.

Thursday Night Showdown

Our first baseball pick of the day is on the Boston Red Sox visiting the Tampa Bay Rays. Last night the bats got it done for Boston and this could be another high scoring affair with the Red Sox coming out on top. We like them on the moneyline of -117.

The St. Louis Cardinals need a win and they should get it tonight. At -177, we think this game is over after 4 innings. It will be an interesting game to watch, and the over looks like a possibility as well.

The BMW Championship starts today which leads us into the Tour championship next week. Golf is sure winding down and there will be an outright Fedex Cup winner come next week. This is one event you have to make a mark if you want to advance to the tour championship. We will give you our favorite picks and a long shot as well.

Adam Scott – For sure a good bet at 11/1
Matt Kuchar – Just needs to finish and it is his at 22-1
Jason Dufner – Playing some really good golf could make his PGA mark real nice at 25-1
Henrik Stenson – Can this guy win back to back events. We think he might at 16-1
Roberto Castro – This is our long shot pick. We thing this guy has serious talent at 80-1

Either way it should be a nice weekend of golf, so make sure you watch closely and make your bets. Good Luck and we’ll see you tomorrow.
