Thursday Night Betting

We get off with a fast start in Denver tonight. But before we get all football happy let’s go over what happened yesterday.

We had a below average day on the mound and it turned out the pick of the day was on the Colorado Rockies. They took care of business on the -120 moneyline. The other two baseball games didn’t fair so well. Both teams were a let down. They got blown out by their opponents. Better to lose big sometimes than in the 9th inning.

It turns out that our best play of the day and week was in Tennis. Richard Gasquet got it done in 5 sets defeating David Ferrer. If you bet this match you were getting a +220 moneyline. This would have made up for one of the losses yesterday.

We’ll kick things off with tonight’s first NFL game of the season. There will be a ton of action on this game. Right now Denver is a -7.5 favorite over the Baltimore Ravens. Everyone is on the Broncos this year. This is why in tonight’s game we think the Ravens not only cover the spread, but may actually win.
Bet on the Ravens

Coming off a super bowl win last year the Ravens still have a solid team. They still have Ray Rice and Terrell Suggs. Yes, they lost some skill players and their true leader, but they are still a strong team. The moneyline is +265 which may be worth a hedge with a bigger point spread bet. Peyton Manning could get hot real early, but what concerns me the most in Denver is the running game. We don’t know if their running backs can protect Manning. Either way, we definitely like the Ravens in this one.

Let’s not forget all the fantasy action involved in this game. We have Peyton Manning and Joe Flacco throwing to Thomas, Demaryius and Torrey Smith respectively. Ray Rice should have a decent game as the Ravens will need him to produce big time. Both Defenses are most likely in play as well as the kickers. Our college football play is Florida Atlantic getting +20 against the East Carolina Pirates. We like the Owls getting this many points. It should be a high scoring affair, but this one may come down to a defensive touchdown.

We’ve been riding the US Open tennis matches on top. There is a big event between Murray and Wawrinka. We rode Wawrinka in the last match and he looked good. We just think Andy Murray is too strong. If you bet this event, you’re looking at -400. Maybe bet $100 to win $25. Don’t go to big.

Our one pick in baseball is the Baltimore Orioles at home at -160 against the Chicago White Sox. Baltimore knows how critical this series is for them to make it to the playoffs. If they can get the bats going early they should be able to pull off a 3+ win. We’ll see tonight.

By the way, if you are interested in live betting the Ravens vs. Broncos game will carry live bets. A lot of betting action live on Football. Enjoy the game and we’ll see you tomorrow with our weekend picks.
