Hump Day Sports Picks

We had a decent Monday night with the Bengals ripping the Steelers in Prime time. This was a 10 point victory. We took yesterday off, but we are back today with some picks for you.

We’ll kick things off with a little baseball. There is a major race going on for the division and wild card spots. We don’t think the Nationals can beat the Braves again after yesterday. This is a tight bet, but we are riding the Braves on the road at -108 playing the Nationals.

Just like the other game, no way do the Pirates go down in this game at home against the San Diego Padres. The Pirates need to get their act together or they could end up in a wild card position. Take the Pirates a -1.5(+140)

The last baseball game of the day we’ll play is on the Baltimore Orioles visiting the Boston Red Sox. This game is way more important for the O’s. They are on the moneyline of +140.

There are a couple of big soccer games on today that we will be betting on.

AC Milan and ChelseaUEFA Champions League AC Milan takes on Celtic. We took Celtic to win last game they played and they are getting +1.5(-175). The odds aren’t really that favorable. We don’t think they AC Milan wins by two goals, however we do think they beat Celtic. We are going to take AC Milan on the moneyline at -225. A bit more than we want to pay, but that is what happens in soccer.

The other UEFA Champions League match we like is Chelsea at -1.5(+105). We think this game gets going early and often. This could be a 3-0 victory for Chelsea against FC Basel. Things are going to be kicking off strong that is for sure.

Tour Championship starts tomorrow and although we haven’t picked the winner in the past couple events, we’ve come quite close. The odds of winning this event go up significantly since there are only 30 competitors in the event. There are still some decent payouts to be had.

Tiger Woods – 5-1 is coming off another weird event. He will most like likely bounce back and contend for the top 5 spots.

Remember, one guy in this group of golfers is going to walk away with $10,000,000. Not bad for a long season.

Zach Johnson – 18-1 – You take the player that is hot. He is coming off a really nice win and could finish the group off this weekend.

Henrik Stenson – This guy could win the Fedex cup for sure. If he can finish first it is definitely his.

Phil Mickelson – 14-1 – You can never count Phil out of the competition. He needs a lot of things to happen for him to win the cup, but he needs to win the Tour Championship first.

Adam Scott – 10-1 – He didn’t have a great outing last week, so he needs to come out on fire. Should he do this the money could be his.

Our long shot to win this tournament is Dustin Johnson at 40-1. He hasn’t played that well, but could turn it around this week.

We’ll definitely follow these events closely and have some nice football picks tomorrow.
