The weekend is over and you either had a good/bad or breakeven kind of moment. We did fairly well all around. We didn’t take a ton of bets, but we finished above breakeven.
Our pick on Friday in the NLCS played out really well when the Cardinals got it done easily paying +123 on the moneyline. The World Series kicks off on Wednesday and you can be sure we’ll have a good bet for you. We also had a hockey bet on the Anaheim Ducks that worked out as well. These two winners got our weekend going just like Thursday.
We do have a couple picks for Monday, but the main one is the Monday night game between the Minnesota Vikings visiting the New York Giants. We think the Giants come out and win this game. It could be a high scoring affair, but at the same time, teams in this situation could go at it making the defense really step up. We don’t like the -3.5, but we are taking the Giants at home. Think about the over and possibly a tease of the over and the Giants getting points. Eli Manning needs to finally get things rolling and if they can hold Adrian Peterson in line they should be able to win. Look for new QB josh Freeman to adjust to this new offense. It could be an interesting game.
We do have two picks in the NHL. San Jose has been playing really well. They also have been scoring a ton of goals. We are taking the over in this one against the Detroit Red Wings. You may also place a bet on the San Jose Sharks at -125.
The second game will be on the Los Angeles Kings at home against the Calgary Flames. This is the tail end of the Flames road trip and they will most likely drop another one. We are taking the Kings at -230.
You can also ride Pittsburgh at home at -170.
We do have one soccer pick which comes from the Barclays U21 Premier League. We like Manchester United U21 to win this game at +155. This could be a 1-0 game so an under bet may be another option for you as well.
We wish you luck on your bets and we’ll be back on Wednesday for our 2013 World Series betting pick.
