Some Sweet Action Today

After a pretty smooth Wednesday, we’ll move into Thursday with some excellent picks. Be sure to follow us on Twitter. This is a new channel. Each day you will get some serious feedback on picks and what’s happening in sports.

The pick of the day yesterday was on the Nationals. They were (-1.5) at the Cubs, but the vig was +150. This paid out really well for a team we were sure to win this game. They ended up winning by five runs. This game was pretty much in the books after the 3rd inning. These are the odds we are trying to put in your favor on a daily basis.

The Braves had to go to extra innings to get it done, but they had a three run 10th inning, which gave them the nice win. We really liked Chelsea yesterday, but they gave up a first half goal that pretty much snuffed them. Once they took the one goal lead later, they just couldn’t get the clincher goal. We’ll continue to look at soccer for some nice setups.

Today we have several games lined up. We are first going to talk about some NFL preseason action. The third game of the preseason is always the big one for most teams. Usually the starters play for about three quarters, so we should see some real action tonight.

The Pick of the day is the New England Patriots +2(-105) at the Detroit Lions. The Pats have looked really good and it appears Brady has found his replacement for Wes Welker. Danny Amendola seems to fit this offense just right. The fact that the points are with the Pats makes you wonder why. In preseason this could be one of those games where it’s total domination.

The second NFL game tonight is the Baltimore Ravens -3(-120) at home against the Carolina Panthers. Only if Cam Newton has a good game will determine a victory for the Panthers. The Ravens will work their Super Bowl offense and get their top ranked defense involved early. This should be a good Thursday night game on a beautiful night.

In a pitchers duel tonight we like the Nationals -1.5(-105) once again at Chicago Cubs. Stephen Strasburg takes the mound and he is due for a lights out game. His last start he was ejected in the 2nd inning. This should be a make up game for him and possibly get the Nationals closer to 500.

The last baseball game we like tonight is the New Your Yankees (-155) at home against the Toronto Blue Jays. Although the moneyline is a bit high, we like the pitcher in this one and think the Yanks win. The Jays may get some runs, so we like the moneyline on this one.

We do have one soccer play for you today. We like the home team Tottenham Hotspur (-250) against the Dinamo Tbilisi. This is a UEFA Club Competitions – UEFA Europa League. They also have live betting available if it interests you. Keep an eye out for more soccer this month as some big games are scheduled to be played.
