Hump Day Picks in August

Soccer BettingThe middle of the week can sometimes carry some soft action. We do have a huge weekend coming up so make sure you keep reading this week. If you aren’t comfortable with some bets just make sure you hold off and not force it.

We had a so/so day yesterday. The Nationals pick was pretty much the only one that worked out. The AC Milan game turned out to be a push. These things happen when you are betting on soccer. You will run into a lot of draws, so it will come down to comfort level. The draw paid off pretty nice if you did pick that.

We’ll definitely have some preseason football picks starting tomorrow. Make sure you take a look at our Barclays golf picks from yesterday.

We are going to start today off with a little soccer action. The first game is from the English Premier League. We have Chelsea visiting Aston Villa. Chelsea pretty much should win this game outright. However, the moneyline is (-375). This is when you start to consider your options. Some sportsbooks are offering alternate lines if you are willing to pay. In this case we are going to stick with Chelsea on the road at (-1.5). A two score win should get our day going. This game also carried live betting action so you can have a little fun while it is on.
Live Betting with Chelsea
Our first baseball pick is the Atlanta Braves on the road at the Mets. Although the Braves are (-1.5) favorites we thing the pitching will win this one. We may even see the score break the over of (7), so keep this in mind when placing your wager. This game will provide some live action too.

The second baseball game we like is the Blue Jays at the Yanks. We’ll take the (+1.5) on the road against a new pitcher who is fresh to the mound. The books know the Jays should cover so they have the bet at (-200). A moneyline bet could hold, but they are the dog and are only (+105). The over is probably the play of the day at (9). Unless Adam Warren for the Yanks throws lights out this could be a high scoring affair.

The last baseball game we like is the Nationals once again. They are (-1.5), but it’s a +150, so the books know they should winners, but maybe not cover. We like the Nats after yesterday’s covering and lets not forget they are playing the Cubs. This is a night game, so this gives you action tonight.

We’ll have some more picks tomorrow, so keep coming back. If you are interested in a free pick service please let us know. We may work something out.
