Going Strong on our Bets

After an awesome Tuesday we were hoping for a fairly strong Wednesday. Well, we got it. The day started with some fun Soccer and finished off with a nice baseball win. Today we have a lot of picks to go over in several different sports.

Our pick of the day was the EFA Club Competitions – UEFA Champions League. This game was between Celtic and FC Shakhter Karagandy with a line of -2. The final score was 3-0. Although this score looked like a blowout, the aggregate was -2. Late in the second half Celtic pulled off a finishing goal that pushed them into the champions league. It was a great win and an awesome game to watch.

The Washington Nationals had a weather delay, but by the time the game was over they had the win. Stephen Strausburg only pitched two innings. The weather delay made him tight and they put in the relievers, but the nationals have now won seven of the last eight.

The Atlanta Braves got it done on the moneyline as well in the bottom of the ninth. With a fairly tight game all the way through out, the Braves dug down deep to find the win.

As for today’s picks, we have two College football games, some NFL preseason action and some baseball plays.

First game jitters always set in. We aren’t looking for the upset here, but North Carolina comes to South Carolina for a heated Thursday night game. Not a tough travel and UNC fans should be there as well. We think North Carolina pulls this off with the +13(-115). If it gets into a shootout they may be in trouble, but if not, UNC could even win this game. This is a live college football betting game, so be ready to watch and bet.

There are a few in state rival games to kick this season off. In the second game we like Utah at home -3(even) against Utah State. Being the first game of the year don’t hold your breathe on a big scoring affair.

We are coming down to our final NFL preseason games. This is where most of the players that won’t have a job next week play. It’s tough on these guys for sure, but it should build some decent plays for today.

When you talk youth you want teams with past early round draft picks. Our first play is the Cleveland Browns -1.5(-105) visiting the Chicago Bears. We know, the Browns giving points on the road is crazy, but remember they are really young and can have their scrubs get it done.

The second and last preseason pick is on the Minnesota Vikings getting +4.5 at home against the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee has looked decent in preseason, but this time the home and points should play out in our favor.

Raiders getting +7 should be on your watch list as well.

The only baseball game pick we have today is on the on the Nationals once again. They are the hot team and they have Gio pitching. -220 is a bit high, but -1.5 is high as well. It will be up to you on which you pick. We think they get it done all around.
