After yesterdays record breaking day, we may never bet against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. They got off to a slow start, but were able to turn it around and thump the Ravens. Any Fantasy Football player whostarted Peyton is feeling pretty good right now. In yesterday’s post we mentioned the double dip from Peyton to Demarius Thomas. They may win games by themselves for their fantasy owners.
The one pick that worked out well yesterday was Florida Atlantic taking the points to cover the spread. They were getting +20 and they lost by 18. Seems like the books knew what they were talking about on this one.
The event that had us pretty upset came in the US Open yesterday. We should have rode the hot hand in Wawrinka, but we chose Murray. Looking back it’s always best to ride the hot hand. The payout was once again high. It should be interesting to see what the numbers are this weekend.
Let’s look at some picks for this weekend. Let’s start off with some college football. You can bet all these games at the Bovada Sportsbook.
The first game we like is Okalahoma State on the road in San Antonio. This game may be the biggest blowout of the season. We like them -27. Our prediction is a 52-13 win.
The next college pick is Syracuse +16.6 visiting Northwestern. They are coming off a tough loss against Penn State in a game they could’ve won for sure. Take the points and the Orange.
We are taking Hawaii coming into Oregon State. They are getting 27 points and are 1-0 against the spread. We’ll take the back to back play in this game.
Let’s break down some NFL games that we like.
After yesterday’s loss we need to get off the Schnied in a big way. Why not start off with the Patriots. We know the Bills are getting 10 at home, but until there is a proven QB in Buffalo, there is no way they can keep up with Tom Brady and the Patriots. We’ll take the favorite in this one at -10.
We are taking another game on the road and against the points. Without listening to the media and just watching the Jets play, they may not even win a game this year. The Bucs are ready to run the ball with Doug Martin and it should get pretty interesting if he gets going early.
The third game we like a lot is the Cleveland Browns at home against the Miami Dolphins. Both teams have sophomore quarterbacks and this could be a high scoring affair. We think Trent Richardson gets it done and finishes the job for the Browns. Take them at -1.
The fourth and final game for the NFL Sunday is the night game between the Giants travelling to the Dallas Cowboys. We are taking the home team Cowboys at -3. This may come down to a field goal, so keep that in mind if the points get wider. We feel Dallas wins.
We’ll discuss the Monday games on Monday, but we hope this gives you enough action for the weekend. If you like our bets please comment below.
