We had a pretty interesting weekend. We were able to stay above 500 and our USA President Cup win helped keep our weekend in check.
We’ve been talking about the Miami Hurricanes all season. Although it is early, we are seeing this football season go pretty quick. The Hurricanes got it done in a hurry. Our other major pick was on the Tigers of LSU. They were 10 point favorites and they blew this out of the water by 20 with a 33 point win on the road. This helped make our Saturday much nicer.
The Rams were favored by 12 over the Jaguars and we just had to take them. They ended up winning by two scores which made everything go pretty well the rest of the day. The Colts took care of the Seahawks at home getting points. They won outright which made our day that much better. We weren’t too sure what happened to the Broncos defense, but they weren’t able to stop Tony Romo. Looks like this may be the strategy. Score a lot of points and hope the other team doesn’t.
Winning the Presidents Cup sealed our weekend. This gave us a nice finish and we’ll look to next year for our major golf picks.
Monday night is carrying a lot more than Football. We have tons of baseball playoff action as well. We are going to get things going in Atlanta.
With the 2-2 Jets coming to Atlanta, you would think this game would be a blowout. Atlanta however, is only 1-3. Is there offense going to get going? Right now it is sputtering a bit. The Jets defense is playing pretty well. If the Jets can run the ball tonight they should be able to keep it close. We are riding the Jets at +10. We think Atlanta wins, but you never know what one defensive play might do to the outcome of the game. We may also stay under 44.
We didn’t fair to well in baseball on Friday, but this is a different story. The A’s will go up on the Tigers on the road. They have the momentum Right now we have a tied series. We are taking the A’s at -133.
You would think after yesterday the Pirates would have the momentum, but the Cardinals will probably steal this one on the road to even up the series. Take the Cardinals at -116. This could be a high scoring affair with a lot of big bats.
Does Tampa Bay get off the schnied? Yes, they will win this game at home against the Boston Red Sox. If they want to avoid elimination they need Alex Cobb to get it done early. They need some clutch pitching and some deep bats as well.
The final game on the plate is the Atlanta Braves travelling to Los Angeles. This may be the end of the road for the Braves. Just like that a season comes to an end. We are taking the Dodgers and the sweep at -155.
