We had a very interesting weekend of sports. We were breakeven on our Basketball picks and we were break even on our NHL picks as well. This isn’t great, but it could have been much worse.
As for our College Picks, we had a pretty decent day. Wisconsin laid the wood on Indiana with a 24 point spread. We also liked the Florida State line, which was a complete blowout. They should probably be the number one team in the nation. We expect them to go undefeated.
Our Cincinnati pick was our best pick of the weekend. The defense dominated the Browns in a wild weather game. Other games that played out in our favor were the Seahawks at home at -13, the Giants at home and the Broncos at home. The home team definitely had the advantage yesterday. As for today things may get a bit interesting.
We’ll get things going with some Monday night action. After the first week of the season this game wasn’t even on anyone’s mind. As of today, both teams are looking real good. In fact, Carolina is favored at home by -1. The Patriots are coming off a bye and should be ready to dance. We think they win this game straight up, but we’ll take the point just in case. Look for a lot of Tom Brady passing. If Carolina comes to play, it will be their defense that decides this game.
We have a couple of NBA games in the line up tonight as well. We are taking the Oklahoma City Thunder at home against the Denver Nuggets at -9. At home Oklahoma should get this done. We also like the Clippers at home against the Memphis Grizzlies at -8.5. We definitely like the home teams in basketball tonight. Monday games tend to fair well for the home team.
As for the NHL we have two games on tap. We are going to ride the +130 and the Ducks on the road against the Penguins. The slide for the Penguins may continue tonight. We also like the Winnipeg Jets at home against the Calgary Flames. A Canadien battle that should light up the scoreboard. Take the Jets at -165.
Italy is facing Nigeria in an International friendly match. We like Italy at -185. Nigeria is +500 in this game. Italy should be able to pull this one out relatively easily.
Stick with what feels good and you should be bale to find a solid winner along the way.
