Yesterday was a below average day, but hopefully we can make up for it today to finish up the week. Our pick of the day was a total blowout in the wrong direction. Patriots getting points was just too obvious and we didn’t see it happening. They ended up getting smoked by the Lions by 31 points. This was an outright debacle. The books new something was up with this game for sure.
The Nationals went to extra innings to pick up the win. The Moneyline worked out on this one, but the spread did not. They had this game wrapped up, but then let the Cubs back into it. A game that worked out well was the Yankees at home. After a huge rain delay they pulled off a solid win in the Bronx against the Jays. A two run victory covered the spread and moneyline for all you baseball bettors.
Our Soccer play from yesterday worked out real nice. Tottenham Hotspurs took down the Dinamo Tbilis in a 5-0 blowout. This was a pretty simple moneyline or spread play no matter which you picked.
Today we will look at several games including the NFL Preseason, Baseball and Soccer.
We have to take Green Bay at home getting +3(-130). The sportsbooks may know something on this one, but if they can collect the high Vig, they most likely know it can go either way. It’s hard to not take home field points and we are talking about the Packers. Seattle however, is probably the team to beat this year. Will Russell Wilson show up and dominate. Remember we are in the 3rd preseason game so really anything can happen.
The other NFL game we like, which is the pick of the day is the Chicago Bears on the road in Oakland. The Raiders may get 3 wins this whole season. If they show up today we still don’t think they can win. -3.5 is a bit much, but the Bears have come to play so far this year. The under is another solid bet if you wanted to Parlay or even tease.
The first baseball game on the schedule that we like is the Cincinnatti Reds -1.5 at home against the Milwaukee Brewers. The line is even on the Vig, which helps a bit, but the Reds are doing very well lately. Ride them for now. -200 on the moneyline seems a bit steep.
The second baseball pick of the day is Gio Gonzalez pitching for the Nationals on the road in Kansas City. Take the left hander moneyline of (-105) and walk away. Nationals are playing good ball lately and this should put them closer to the 500 mark. Even with a late game yesterday, the Nationals really need to turn it on to make a run.
Our soccer game pick of the day is with Newcastle United from the English Barclays Premier League. They are an even pick at home. This could go to a draw, but they are the team to beat today. Although there are a ton of other soccer games this is the one that stood out.
We’ll try to have some picks over the weekend, but if not we’ll be back on Monday.
