Who will win the 2013 Super Bowl? Will it be a surprise team or one of the usual suspects. We’re going to go over our Top 5 Super Bowl Prop Bets for this year. You can lay some money on each of these plays. We feel like one of these teams will take home the prize.
We had a fairly decent weekend watching a lot of college football. If you didn’t get to watch anything don’t worry. It was the first game of a very long season. Louisville was probably the play of the weekend. Let’s not forget the Florida State Seminoles doing a number on the Pittsburgh Panthers last night.
As for today’s picks we’ll start on the Baseball Diamond. We are getting closer to October and there are a few teams trying to make a run. This is the time to bet these teams when the price is right.
We’ve been right about Gio Gonzalez the past few bets, so we’ll ride the left handed pitcher in Philadelphia. The moneyline bet is -161 on the road, but the pitching should carry us. The Phils may get some hits, but this could be a low scoring affair. The 8.5 O/U line looks tasty on the under. This is pretty much a must win game for the Nationals.
Well, this game is quite intriguing and it comes down to pitching. The Detroit Tigers will be using Max Schezer who is 19-1 on the road against the Boston Red Sox. Unless Schezer implodes the moneyline of even money seems like a decent bet. The sportsbooks might know something, but it should be a good game to bet.
Our soccer play comes from the Brazil – Campeonato Brasileiro da Série A in which Goias EC visits Gremio FBPA. We like the home team in this one with a pickem spread and a +120. Not a huge game to watch, but one that may provide you with a solid soccer bet.
We want to place a bet on the US Open, but when you have to bet $100 to make $3, or even $100 to make $1, it makes it really difficult to risk that kind of cash. There is one match we’ll look at for an upset. This is the match between Wawrinka and Bedych. We like Wawrinka at +200 getting the upset.
Let’s get down to some Football futures action. Who will win the Super Bowl. Always a tough guess. Each year everyone is on the same one or two teams. This year it has really opened up to many more. We do like 4 teams for sure and we’ll have our long shot pick as well. Health will be a big determining factor and the one team that doesn’t lose the most core players should win.
The first team we like is the Seattle Seahawks paying 17-2. This is a defensive sound team that is only going to get better on offense with their second year quarterback Russel Wilson.
If Seattle doesn’t make it to the NFC championship the next best team in that division will take it down. The San Francisco 49ers are pretty tough all around coming off a Super Bowl Loss. It’s there’s for the taking at 6-1.
We had two NFC teams as our first picks so we need to have two AFC teams. The New England Patriots are always contenders no matter how you look at it. Coaching and Brady could carry them to the Bowl at 10-1.
We know everyone is on the Broncos, but we really like the Houston Texans. We just feel like if Arian Foster can stay healthy and the defense stays strong behind JJ Watt, then they look like a real contender at 16-1.
Our long shot pick is on the Washington Redskins at 33-1. How can you not like RG3 at this point? The man is a winner and that will help them get to the next level.
There is plenty of action all week so be on the look out. Football betting on the NFL will kickoff on Thursday, so get your fantasy football teams ready.
